Because as a transitioning service member you can still get paid by the DoD while gaining certification & skills training, on-the-job-training (OJT), and experience by industry experts. Vets2PM trains you on hot industry certifications, and our host partners provide OJT – giving you the opportunity to gain valuable civilian work experience before you transition!

Getting Started
Step 1: Review the pipeline options and complete SkillBridge Interest Form. NOTE: Scroll to the top of this page to see if there were form errors.
Step 2: Check your email for acknowledgment and best practices for success.
Step 3: Apply to one or multiple internships on our job board for DoD SkillBridge opportunities. Vets2PM will try to match you with a host partner based on your application and our matching process.
Step 4: If our host partner is interested in interviewing you, we will reach out to schedule an interview and if selected we will provide you with all the information you need for command approval.
Step 5: Once you achieve command approval send us your signed approval form immediately. Nothing happens until we have this signed approval form.
Step 6: We will reach out two weeks before your start date with onboarding action items and throughout the entire internship.
Veteran Resource Partners
Project Management Pipeline
Overview
The idea is to transform you into a “Multi-Purpose Project Manager” (MPPM) that has both predictive and agile certifications and experience. You will earn multiple certifications (PMP, PSM, etc.) to validate you in the minds of hiring managers. Next, we provide on-the-job-training (OJT) to fulfill the experienced project manager hurdle.
Eligibility
- A 4-year degree
- 36 months experience leading projects, i.e. missions or exercises
- 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification (our training meets these requirements)
— OR —
- A high school diploma or an associate’s degree (or global equivalent)
- 60 months leading projects, i.e. missions or exercises
- 35 hours of project management education/training or CAPM® Certification

IT/Cyber Professional Pipeline
Overview
The concept is to train to industry hot certifications that make 8570/8140 compliant and provide you the technical experience in the positions you want to get hired in, hopefully with your host company. No more, “sorry, you have the talent we want just not the technical training” routine! This is a skills training internship to prepare you for entry level (or above) IT / Cyber career, making you a job candidate with your host company. You will have unlimited access to all the training modules you can fit in during this internship. We will introduce you to additional non-SkillBridge resources including Vet Tec and the use of GI Bill to cover certification exams.
Eligibility
- The capability to obtain at least CompTIA’s Sec+ certification
- Experience or serious interest in IT/Cybersecurity career field
- A current DoD security clearance
- The ability to manage your own schedule while working in a self-paced environment with guidance from Vets2PM and our host partner
- To be accepted into this internship you must be a fit for a potential hire with your host company after the internship. You will interview with the host company before being selected to discuss future career goals and potential match with company opportunities.

General Management Pipeline
Overview
The mission is to provide general management fundamentals by learning to speak the language of management fluently. You will earn the internationally recognized Institute of Certified Professional Managers (ICPM) Certified Manager (CM) certification. You will be able to prove and apply your general business expertise during your internship, job interviews, on-the-job, and while running your own business.

- High school diploma
- Military service or a few years of management experience

Human Resources Pipeline
Overview
The mission is to provide HR management on-the-job training (OJT) and an internationally recognized certification. During the program, the goals are for you to earn an Associate Professional in Human Resources (“aPHR”) certification from HRCI and use your skills as an HR professional in a civilian operated company.
Eligibility
NONE! You qualify.Associate Professional in Human Resources®️ (aPHR®️) Educational experience is not required. No HR experience is required since this is a knowledge-based credential. This is the perfect program for recent college graduates, armed services men and women making the transition to civilian life, professionals seeking a career transition into the HR field, or non-HR managers who manage people.
