PurpleX is our cultivated candidate database – a unique tool available to hiring managers and talent acquisition professionals, and consists of thousands of candidates (nearly all Veterans), with clearances, trained and/or credentialed in the PMP® and other highly sought-after industry certifications, and possessing a breadth of expertise across disciplines. PurpleX candidates are vetted, motivated, flexible, and interested in exploring roles with leading civilian organizations and government contractors, and grows by +/- 60 candidates per month.

How do I login to PurpleX?
  • You will receive a User Name and Password to access PurpleX candidates. If you have not received your credentials, please contact us.
  • Each subscription includes two user credentials, and additional users can be added for a small fee.
  • Log into your Corporate Access to PurpleX through our website portal, or by bookmarking the login page to Zoho Recruit.
  • Enter your user name and password to sign in.
  • When you see the Welcome page, click on the ‘Students/Candidates’ tab at the top left of the menu bar to access candidates.
  • All candidates are displayed on this screen.

When you email or call a PurpleX candidate, please inform them that you are a valued partner of Vets2PM and you acquired their information through PurpleX. If you have trouble reaching a candidate, do not hesitate to contact us for assistance. We are here to help you at any time.

On the left side of the screen, you will see ‘Filter’ options.

  • You always want the drop-down menu at the top of this section to display ‘All Students/Candidates.’
  • You can filter candidates by any of the information on this list by simply clicking on whichever item you wish to filter by, and then clicking on the drop-down menu to ensure you are selecting the option you wish to sort by.

Example: If you choose ‘City,’ the drop-down menu allows you to refine this filter with the following options:

  • Contains
  • Is
  • Isn’t
  • Doesn’t Contain
  • Starts With
  • Ends With
  • Is Empty
  • Isn’t Empty

Once you have selected your filter options, click ‘Apply Filter’ at the bottom of the screen. When you want to go back to the full candidate list with no filters, click ‘Clear’ at the bottom of the filter section.

You can check the number of candidates in the full database, or within your filter selections by clicking on the ‘###‘ next to ‘Total Count’ at the bottom of the candidate screen.

If you wish to review candidate information without leaving your list, you have a few options to do so:

Option #1:

  • Click on the eyeglass icon to the left of the candidate’s name and a window will appear in which you can review the candidate in a number of ways, including basic details, skills, education/experience, resume, hiring pipeline, notes, activities, and attachments.
  • Within this menu selection, you will see a right arrow selection to move to the next candidate on the list.

Option #2:

  • Right click on the Candidate Name to open their full profile in a separate window.
  • A separate tab will open to the right of your search tab, and when you click on that tab you can open the candidate’s full profile.

Option #3:

  • Simply click on the candidate name and his/her profile will open.

For each candidate profile you will have access to all the information we have on our candidates. (Please keep in mind that PurpleX is in a continuous pattern of quality assurance and updating. We work daily to ensure all available and current information about our candidates is reflected in their profile. If you do not see information on a candidate that you would like, please let us know, and we will do our best to provide any missing information that you require.)

Each candidate profile includes:

  • Basic information (includes all email / phone contact information)
  • Address information (includes city / state of residence)
  • Professional Details (includes additional candidate information)
  • Attachments (includes Current Resume and Previous / Military Resume)

Resume View

  • To view the resume from your list of candidates, click on the eyeglass icon and then on the resume tab. You are able to download or print the resume from this view.
  • To view full resume from the candidate’s profile page, simply scroll down to the ‘Attachments’ section of the screen and you will see all resumes we have on file for each candidate. You are not able to print or download the resume from this view.
  • Often, we will have the candidate’s original / military resume, or their military biography, each listed as ‘Previous/Military Resume,’ and then their civilian or updated resume, listed as simply ‘Resume.’
  • There are some students who have not shared their resume, and in these cases,  we have all known candidate information listed, their LinkedIn profile, and contact information.
  • You may also see a ‘formatted’ resume, which means we have submitted them to another corporate partner with our logo on the resume.
  • While you cannot download the resume, you can copy and paste into a Word document if you wish to keep the resume in your records.
  • We are continuously updating PurpleX and seeking information from all candidates, to ensure you have the most current and complete picture of all PurpleX participants.

To query the database by keywords/key information, our search capabilities include all profile information and resume keyword searches.

  • To get started, click on the search / magnifying glass icon.
  • You can do a quick search on this bar, or better yet, click on ‘Advanced Search’ just to the right of the search bar.
  • Make sure the ‘Select Module’ is set to ‘Students/Candidates.’
  • Enter keywords in the ‘All Keywords with Criteria’ box and use Boolean language (AND OR NOT) if you wish.
  • Be sure to click ‘other attachments’ to ensure all attachments and criteria are searchable.
  • Click ‘Search’ at the bottom of the screen.
  • You can add multiple ‘Specify Criteria’ options by clicking the ‘+’ after the first selection.
  • When you add a second ‘Specify Criteria’ selection there will be an ‘AND’ between the two; this means the search will include BOTH of the options.
  • You can click on the ‘AND’ and it will change to ‘OR’; in which case the search will produce a wider group of candidates who have either selection, as opposed to both selections.


Example: When I searched on the following string, I received 51 results:

Project AND Manager AND Logistics AND OSHA

  • To refine this search by State, for example, I clicked ‘Search Again’ (on the top right of the results), and this brings you back to your original search criteria.
  • You can further refine your search within the ‘Specify Criteria’ section by clicking on the drop-down areas and scrolling through the options.


Example: I refined this search by selecting ‘State/Province,’ then ‘Is’ from the second drop-down menu, and then ‘VA’ for Virginia, and clicked ‘Search.’ The results produced three candidates in Virginia.

  • To clear a search and go back to the full candidate list, simply click the ‘X’ on the black search bar at the top right of your screen and click on the ‘Students/Candidates’ tab on the menu bar (right next to ‘Home’), and  you will be directed back to the main ‘Students/Candidates’ page with all candidates and no filters.

To exit PurpleX, simply click on the tools (wrench) icon at the top right and click ‘Sign Out.’
