  1. Login to siteground, my accounts, Cpanel, file manager
  2. Navigate to: /wp-content/uploads/PDF_EXTENDED_TEMPLATES
  3. Download the files from your server using FTP which are located in the PDF Working Directory’s `/pdfs/` folder.
  4. Duplicate this directory on your local machine and rename “pdfs-backup-{date}”. If something goes wrong, you’ll be able to easily restore the original PDF.
  5. Open the old PDF and the new PDF in Adobe Reader. Verify the sections that include Gravity Forms data hasn’t shifted drastically (if it has, the PHP template file will also need to be modified)
  6. If there’re no issues in step 3, run your new PDF through this online tool and make sure the “Compatibility” setting is set to “Acrobat 5.0 (PDF1.4)”.
  7. If the new PDF doesn’t have the same name as the old one, rename it.
  8. Upload via FTP and override the document on the server.
  9. Verify the PDF is being correctly generated by Gravity PDF.
  10. If there’s an issue, upload the old PDF from your backup folder (see step 2).
