Federal Virtual Training Environment (FedVTE) – FREE FOR VETERANS

https://fedvte.usalearning.gov/

Veterans who are basic computer users to cyber warfare experts, the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) under the DHS has FREE self-paced courses for you.  Additionally, CISA will help guide veterans on a career path in cybersecurity using the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework.

Besides being a great free resource, why should you be interest in the content on this site?

First, many of you perform project or program management duties that impact or are impacted by information technology (IT) systems or IT policies.  By having this relationship with IT, we believe you are firmly identified in the NICE Framework as within the “Oversee and Govern” Specialty Area.  This Specialty Area includes: Cybersecurity Management; Executive Cyber Leadership; Legal Advice & Advocacy; Program/Project Management & Acquisition; Strategic Planning & Policy; and Training, Education, and Awareness.

Secondly, if you already have ample knowledge in the cybersecurity, you may want to use the self-paced courses to secure your certification in training areas like: CompTIA Net+, DNSSEC, Mobile Forensics, Wireless Network Security, or even CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP).

Why not take your previous military experience & training and add to your “Toolbox!”
